	CUMBERLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE 6^th Annual Employee Appreciation Day 2009 In Memory Of Timothy Wayne Crossgrove May 15, 2009 11:30am - 1:30pm
	In 2004, Sheriff Butler decided that he wanted to recognize the employees that work hard to keep our county safe by having an "Employee Appreciation Day". It was a great success and evolved into an annual event that takes place during the same week that the Cumberland County Peace Officers Memorial is held which honors the officers that have died in the line of duty. It was Timothy Wayne Crossgrove, owner of Tony’s Pizza, who made it possible to have our first annual Employee Appreciation Day and served over 300 of our employees. Timothy Wayne Crossgrove was gunned down and murdered in 2008. His parents, Jim and Linda Crossgrove and his brother Jimmy, came to the forefront to make sure that our 2009 Employee Appreciation Day was a continuing success. This year, in addition to all the delicious food they donated from their restaurant "Tony’s Pizza" at Bordeaux shopping center, Linda Crossgrove donated plates, tablecloths, napkins, forks and spoons. Smithfield Foods was very supportive by donating 300 lbs. of meat. They are great supporters of law enforcement. Eric Nelson and Marla Calderon of Subway, located on Santa Fe Drive, have been strong supporters of our event. Zaxby’s has been very generous in the past few years by donating a great number of their platters. They have two locations in Fayetteville. Kinlaws donates chicken for us to grill. Grandson's, has been a very generous contributor by donating side dishes and tea. They are located at 5339 Marracco Dr. in Hope Mills. Nannette Sanchez, from Coca-Cola, has always been very supportive of the Sheriff’s Office by donating plenty of coke products for our employees each year. Hooters, is another sponsor which donates lots of chicken wings for our event. We greatly appreciate their support. Ms. Pat Marble makes delicious Thai food for our employees. She is employed with the Cumberland County Detention Center. She is greatly appreciated for all her hard work. She takes a day off just to cook for us. We love you Ms. Pat. McDonalds on Grove Street donated many gallons of tea for our event. The Sheriff's Office greatly appreciates all our sponsors and especially our extended family at Tony’s Pizza who have made it possible to have this event each year.
