Polygraph

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Polygraph Section falls under the operational control of the Detective Division.  The mission of the Polygraph Section is to provide polygraph support to law enforcement agencies within Cumberland and surrounding counties with respect to ongoing criminal or internal investigations. 

The Polygraph Section is also tasked with conducting pre-employment screening polygraph examinations for deputy and detention officer applicants within the Sheriff's Office. 

Individuals who seek polygraph examinations pertaining to private matters will have to seek a private polygraph examiner in order to fulfill their request.
