Criminal Intelligence Unit

(Gangs)

The Criminal Intelligence Unit (CIU) investigates gang related incidents in the school system and throughout Cumberland County.  The CIU accumulates information on reported gang activity and gang graffiti and disseminates the information to other divisions within the Sheriff’s Office.   The CIU works closely with other law enforcement agencies, sharing information and identifying gang members and associates in order to reduce gang related crimes.
