The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Polygraph Office falls under the operational control of the Detective Division. The mission of the Polygraph Office is to provide polygraph support to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office as well as law enforcement agencies within Cumberland County and surrounding counties with respect to ongoing criminal or internal investigations. The Polygraph Section is also tasked with conducting pre-employment screening polygraph examinations for deputy and detention officer applicants within the Sheriff’s Office.
The CCSO Polygraph Office does not provide polygraph services related to private matters.
