Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers (SROs) patrol (4) school districts, which includes sixteen (16) elementary schools, five (5) middle schools, and four (4) high schools belonging to the Cumberland County School System. While on campus, SROs are responsible for enforcing state and local laws as well as instructing students, faculty, staff, and the general public on these laws when appropriate. SROs provide security during school hours and at special school events on campus, i.e., athletic events, dances, assemblies, etc.
